Wana, where do I even begin? I wish I knew this lady, I just want to hug her and then tell her a dozen ways in which I think she is exquisitely beautiful!
I feel her pain. I cried.

Thank you for writing this. It’s beautiful and heart-felt. I can identify with a lot of what you said and I believe a lot of people need to know and internalise self-love. btw, I’m a chopstick with wide hips 😀

Every time I read something you’ve written, I feel this joy that I met someone as brilliant as you are. And I wish I spent time and talked with you more, but I’m still glad I get to read these articles every now and then. No one in my family understands the weight struggle, and they truly believe that you have to hate yourself to change. It’s a battle everyday, but I fight them. I’m going to love myself and then make healthier choices because of it. Thank you so much for speaking out. Best wishes.

so well written. Wana, i don’t know where I’ve been all this time, but I just found you, and I feel like you’re my friend in my head…hehe. I’m so glad I found you on one of the Ngee show videos…hilarious!
Self love is so important, and I am convinced that it is very much at the center of who we are–our perceptions of others, of life, i expectations in life…
    Good job!

I would like to encourage the lady that wrote to you, Ms. Wanawana. Suicide isn’t the answer. If nobody has told you before God loves you. I used to feel nobody cared about me too. Being a plus sized lady is not easy anywhere. There are a lot of plus sized ladies going through what your going through, your not alone. Its just that many of us don’t talk about it. We can joke about it and laugh on it and cry about it.
What I would advise is for you to stick around friends that love you. In fact, before that take your self out. Have as many dates with yourself as possible. Be happy no matter what. Nobody can make you feel as happy as you can be except for me though!! winks… There are gonna be down days or hours or minutes where you feel depressed. It doesn’t matter it happens to every human being. (that is skinny people praying to be fat, fat people praying to be slim and the list is endless).
You can also work on your weight if you cant enter dresses, trousers. For me that’s the only reason I sometimes consider weight loss just to get in to a particular piece of clothing. After that am tired!! lol
One more thing you should do all those plus sized models just keep on looking at their photos it would keep you going. Its a form of motivation
As for your dad pray for him. You can kindly tell him this is you and you are glad to be alive.
I love you!!!!!! You cant commit suicide you aren’t permitted to.

…you ask more out of that relationship rather than float in limbo hoping you will be picked one day…
Thanks for writing this, Wana. Keep up the great work.
