As today marks World Sickle Cell awareness day, i have released the first in a series of four video interviews titled Warriors. Warriors is a an in-depth look at what it is like for people living with sickle cell disease. I am hoping that with some injection of resources, i can evolve the series to a video project that looks at other illnesses as well. I hope to use this form of story telling as a way to humanize, educate, highlight some of the healthcare inconsistencies and stigmatization of people living with various illnesses.
This first interview features Toyin Oshinowo who i have been privileged to interview before. However i love her cut throat honesty but most importantly the fact that i always learn something new in every documented conversation. I also interview music producer Temitope Gomez and founders of the Crimson Bow sickle cell initiative Time Edwin and Greg Emuze
