Rhythm & Rhyme: Voices of Lagos was our first major event and truly laid the foundation for all subsequent evenings. On this day, the stage was opened to writers, poets, spoken word artists, and musicians from all over Lagos, and everyone was able to express their creativity to the fullest. The atmosphere was incredibly lively: guests enjoyed every word, every rhyme, and every musical note, and the participants felt the support of the audience in every performance.

The evening began with an open stage, where artists read poems, told stories, and performed mini-musical performances. Each performance had a unique style and presentation, creating a rich mix of emotions — from deep and thoughtful to energetic and uplifting. The audience was actively involved in the event: the applause, laughter, and emotions of each spectator made the atmosphere even more sincere and heartfelt.

In addition to open performances, participants could attend master classes and interactive workshops. Beginning authors learned how to create rhymes, work with rhythm, and deliver text correctly on stage. Music sessions allowed them to understand how to harmoniously combine words and music, creating a lively, memorable atmosphere. There were also small group discussions and creative games that helped artists exchange experiences and find new ideas for performances.

One of the most memorable moments of the evening was the panel discussions with experienced poets and curators. They shared their vision of contemporary art, talked about trends, and inspired young authors to experiment with words and music. During these discussions, guests had the opportunity to ask questions, exchange opinions, and even find future partners for joint projects.

The evening ended with a final set that brought several artists together on stage at the same time. Music, poetry, and rhythm merged together, creating a powerful emotional impression. All participants and guests left inspired, with new acquaintances and vivid impressions. Rhythm & Rhyme: Voices of Lagos showed how the power of words, rhythm, and creativity can bring people together, create community, and give emotions that remain in the memory for a long time.
